Women are a beautiful creation of God yet they get deprived of the basic rights that God has blessed them with. The right to study, the right to get married, the right to work, the right to travel safely, the right to live etc. Unfortunately, we live in a male dominant society where women get deprived of their due rights. Every day we get to hear violations of women rights. Society should acknowledge the status of women and fulfil their rights. Our religion teaches us the concept of women rights in a simple way. Islam, a religion of peace, changed the Arab’s norm of burying their daughters alive, and of rituals such as satti. We have forgotten our teachings and have engaged ourselves into illegal activities such as; killing of women in the name of honour, forceful marriages, body shaming, divorcing them because of giving birth to girls and much more. Misogynistic minds deprive women of their due share. All these things lead to insurrection, feminism, suicide, depression and a lot more. The government should enforce strict laws for those who violate women rights. Educational institutions should create more awareness regarding human rights. Religious education should be given to each and every person. In short, we should opt for ways to make this world a safe, better and just place for women to live, this is the only wish of mine.
