Once upon a time, there was a bird that lived above a high mountain. As the mountain was too high it was hard for the bird to find food. It always had to go all the way down the mountain, find food and return home. One day when the bird was flying around; in search of food, its wings got stuck in a spider web around a tree. The spider was out for some flies, so the bird was safe until he returned. The bird looked around for help and it saw a squirrel. The bird called for help! But instead of helping the bird the squirrel said: “I am busy, I cannot help you. Moreover, if I help you, I might get stuck myself.” After saying all this the squirrel went off. Left alone, the bird tries to get out of the web by moving forward and backward repeatedly. This worked; the bird got free from the web and went back home. The other day the bird was again in search of food. This time the Squirrel was in trouble. Its tail got stuck in a web beside a tree. The squirrel shouted for help seeing the bird! The bird said: “You did not help me but anyhow I am not like you!” The bird then went straight to the squirrel, held on to his paws and flewbackward. After some time and effort, the squirrel got free. It immediately thanked the bird for his timely help, and apologized to the bird for his rude behavior. The bird forgave him and they both became friends.
