The world has progressed very much in every field especially in technology. Technology plays an impactful role nowadays. It has made it easier for a person to do complicated tasks in the simplest ways. Almost everything operates on technology. The use of technology is quite observable as if the use of the computers which has removed the burden from humans. Nowadays, every single person knows how to use technology. It is a good thing, but are people becoming zombies? Technology to humans is like a brain to a zombie because we need it for survival the way a zombie needs a brain for survival. The rate of use of technology is turning people into zombie-like creatures who are insensitive to their social life. Being immersed in our mobile phones all the time; computer laptops, headphones, all make the sounds of the outside world dis appear. Scrolling down the posts through Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook, we are healthy and blooming from outside but we are tired from inside and have become technological zombies. “Heads tilted downward faces, increasingly lost in glowing screens, technology turns people into zombies.” -Joshua Fields Millburn The leading cause of road accidents today is the use of cell phones while driving. It is hard to find a person concentrating on the machines. Instead of which, they focus on their cell phones. These activities are hazardous since, when using such technological devices as a phone, they lose their focus and become insensitive to the danger of the machines in operation. It results in accidents. These acts of individuals make them zombie-like people who do not value their lives. Socializing is a fundamental nature of man. Knowing people around an individual is helpful since it enables people to help each other and solve the problems of a neighborhood, society, or the entire country. With the introduction of social media, people are losing interest in socializing with other people in their surroundings who they can see and feel. It is common to live with a neighbor for more than five years without talking to them, due to the evil influence of technology. All this is due to the increased use of technology.
Technology controls our life. It is a factor that has led to many social problems, primarily due to negligence to handle the practical matters in the environment. Technology is, therefore, turning people into a robotlike or zombie-like creature with no capacity to think and deal with their real issues in the world. ”I fear the day that technology will surpass our human interaction. The world will have a generation of idiots.” -Albert Einstein. Technology can become part of your perception. In times of crisis, television will be a source of information. Your phone is, of course, the fastest way to communicate with family and friends. The Internet functions as a form of communication and entertainment. The problem is that you need to teach your “prefabricated network” to use them carefully so that they do not become zombies.
