The holy Quran says very clearly that those who know and those who don’t know, are not equal. That’s why the first revelation that descended on the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) in the cave of Hira, asked him to read in the name of Allah, who is the creator of the Universe. It was knowledge by which man was going to know his creator, God Almighty and discover for himself the eternal truth about life and death, by coming out of darkness, cruelty, ignorance and injustice. It was knowledge and knowledge alone, which not only brought changes in their social, moral, economical and political life but also changed the barbaric Arabs into the torch bearers and the most civilized people of the world. Happiness is the goal of life and happiness depends not on wealth but upon the inner self of a man. The common notion that happiness is linked with material prosperity, which is falsified when we look at life. The psyche of having wealth is that it must be materialized. The lust of getting more and more keeps individuals constantly on the run, which results in mental unrest, tension and frustration. They live with fear, the fear of losing wealth and sleep with the help of sleeping pills. Therefore, wealth, which brings not only toil and trouble, it cannot be considered better than knowledge, which will help us to lead a happy and contented life in this world.
