For everyone else it was a typical day just like the others but for me it was one of the most important days, for me it was a do or die situation. The Dance team was recruiting and all my friends were auditioning. I had been practicing the whole summer. I couldn’t afford to fail it. The audition was about to start and I was trembling with fear. Then I heard the coach’s countdown, and suddenly I couldn’t feel my body anymore. I was numb! I felt like at any moment I was going to collapse. Well, the audition started and I gave my best. As soon as our performance ended, a part of me felt satisfied. The coach went over to her assistant and discussed something for hardly 10-15 minutes but it felt like an eternity to me. The moment that I’ve been waiting for was here... The results. All of a sudden, I felt my heart in my throat. And as soon as I heard my name even without realizing it, I jumped into joy. I made it to the dance team. My efforts paid off. I was so happy that everyone was staring at me weirdly but I couldn’t care less. I dedicated my whole summer to this dance and my perseverance earned me a spot.
