LOSS AND GRIEF

The world was taken away from him so swiftly. Memories no longer served him. Happiness was an emotion so foreign. So soon he had been robbed of everything that mattered to him. So soon he had lost his reason to live. Now here he knelt before her, her head in his hand, her chestnut curls overflowing in his trembling palms. The world drifted away as he held her for the last time. His tears mixed with the blood as they cascaded down her now red shirt. Oh God, she felt sick. Everything that ever mattered to him, lay lifeless on his lap. She just died on his lap and his world faded away.
